Water Resource Outreach Center
Partners
Since the WROC's inception in 2015, we have been privileged to have the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and the Central Massachusetts Regional Stormwater Coalition as partners. WPI students have the opportunity to work on some of the most pressing water resource issues in the state.
Through these partnerships, students are exposed to the relationship between federal, state, and local environmental agencies, and between agencies, local communities, industry, and watershed associations.

Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection
The Department of Environmental Protection is the state agency responsible for ensuring clean air and water, the safe management of toxics and hazards, the recycling of solid and hazardous wastes, the timely cleanup of hazardous waste sites and spills, and the preservation of wetlands and coastal resources.
Central Massachusetts Regional Stormwater Coalition
The Central Massachusetts Regional Stormwater Coalition is a group of 30 member communities formed to work together to address municipal stormwater management. As neighbors, the 30 communities share stormwater systems, surface water resources, and the need to ensure the long-term protection of these resources.
